I have been a health coach for almost 2 years now.  In that time I have worked with so many incredible people from all walks of life.

Each client had a different story, and a different struggle that they were dealing with.   For some it was their negative relationship with food, for others it was the way they viewed themselves.  Stress and anxiety were of course big topics of conversation due to today’s work-centred society, and the themes of self care and finding exciting pastimes came up regularly as well.

Every client was different, but they all shared one thing, to varying degrees:

They didn’t know how to prioritise their own health and happiness – and how to put themselves first.

Inaction is not living

At the end of the day, a lot of us already know what we want, and we think we already know how to get there.

Studying or working harder will pave the way to a new career.
Eating more sensibly will help us lose weight, so we can fit into size-whatever jeans again.
Getting out on the dating scene will help us find Mr Right.

For the majority of us, however, we don’t take the action steps we really need.  The whole concept of inaction is terrifying – that we spend all of our lives waiting to get somewhere, but never actually take the leap of faith to start the process.   A lot of the time its because we lack someone that will encourage us to do what’s right for us.  Sometimes it’s because we are so focused on one element in life that we lose sight of the overall beautiful picture.  Other times it’s because we simply don’t know how to prioritise ourselves.

I can help you take those steps/leaps/awesome dance moves, and kickstart the whole life that you are worthy of living.   I will show you that you can put yourself first and show up even better for the rest of the people in your world, and I’ll be your biggest cheerleader the entire way.

The work will include:

  • Improving Your Eating Habits – and Why Diets Don’t Work
    We all have different rules when it comes to what goes on our plate and how we eat.  Let’s face it, most of us have eating habits and stories that we know we want to work on.  Our relationship with food often reflects on the one we have with ourselves, so I find this is a great place to start our coaching journey.  For some individuals, we will spend a significant part of our time together focusing on this topic (it’s definitely a juicy one!), but we’ll still have time to go into depth on all the remaining points too.
  • Creating a self-care ritual that you adore.  
    It is essential that you make time for yourself.  Nope – it doesn’t matter how many other people (kids included) rely on you or how many hours you work. Together we will figure out how to create more self-care in your life, no matter how limited your time may be.
  • Increasing Your Self-Confidence, and Feeling Comfortable in Your Own Skin
    Change comes from within, and it doesn’t matter how perfect you look if you don’t know it.
  • Yoga as Mindful Movement – with a Healthy Dose of Meditation
    I am also a yoga teacher with a deep love for meditation, so if you’re open to either modalities then let’s explore them!
  • Trust Your Body Again – Intuitive Eating
    Dieting for any amount of time can warp the way we view and pay attention to your body.  I will teach you how to recognise and trust your hunger and satiation cues again.
  • Get out of your comfort zone
    Perhaps the most important part of my coaching is recognising when you are limiting yourself.  No more playing small – I will help you achieve your dreams, but prepare to get uncomfortable in the short term
